Waiting on the Waiting to Be Over …
When you’re a writer you feel the blocks of creative energy a little differently than most.

Have you ever felt just really stuck? When you’re an author or publisher or like myself both… and that creative block hits hard and seems to have no end… what do you do?
This is an issue I deal with quite frequently. My body, my life, my work, my moods, and the flow of abundance and wealth… all operate on the cycles of the earth, the moon, and the stars.
So, now that I have become aware of this little known fact… I have started preparing for exactly what I know will come. The angrily annoying GD writers block of my creative flow.
I’ve learned over many years of writing as my primary method of shadow working – that I write the most, the best, and the more captivating material in the fall and winter months.
I grew up in southern United States where the winters often still see 80 degree days. So, when I was 18 and decided to move to Seattle for college at the University of WA Seattle campus- the fall and winter grayness in the Pacific Northwest kicked my ass. I went through seasonal depression every year for many years, the lack of vitamin D and the loss of my deeply tanned skin was devastating.
However, the grayness, the constant misty rain was the catalyst to my taking the leap from writing daily in my BOOK OF SHADOWS to writing daily for published content such as my debut book- Sexercise An Accidental Ascension. I now write in the seasons that lend themselves well to my cycle. In the spring and summer I want to be in my garden. Pruning, planting, harvesting my witches poison garden, my fruit trees, and my herb garden in the yard of my NE Seattle home.
If I were to give any advice to new writers it would be – LEARN YOUR CYCLE. Stay with it. Honor your body, Gaia, and her Seasons by writing when it’s best for you in your own cycle!
